“Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight, and like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:4-5).

God is the love of my life and I wanted my business to reflect that.  I wanted to be a Living Stone™ and my light to shine to others.  Faithbooking is a way for me to express how much God means to me and also a way for me to share with others my journey.  There have been so many times where I had no one or was struggling and…  low and behold God sent someone to help me or an extra unexpected check showed up in the mail or when I lost my job, I got another one the next day.  There have been so many people (living stones) who have helped me and I too want to help others.

At Stampaloooza Paper Arts Studios, we have a Faithbooking/Journaling class and products geared towards helping you Faithbook  your Lifesong™.  Together with our Lifesongs™ workshops and our Living Stones™ Scrapbooking Supplies, you can document your beautiful journey.

Please read the Living Stone™ devotional below and then spend a while thinking how you could be a living stone to your family, your friends, your coworkers and neighbors… as you begin each day instead of getting up and getting your day started, spend 5 minutes thinking about the following:

Imagine yourself as a stone in the wall of God’s plan for the world. What stones support you, and what stones do you support? Pray and ask God for guidance about your purpose and new ways you might shine with the Light of God’s love.

~ Living Stone Devotional ~

Every one of God’s beloved children, Peter teaches, is like a stone in a building. Working together, the stones hold up the wall. Crammed together, the stones offer warmth and shelter. Staying where God places them, the stones hold the building, God’s house, together.

It’s not easy standing still, sticking together, or holding up a load. Peter knows that, and encourages all God’s beloved children to be “living stones,” as Jesus is a “living stone.”

“Living stones” are living because they believe in the source of Light and Life, Jesus the Christ. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people- in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

Living stones don’t just sit around, glowing with the light and love of God. Living stones proclaim God’s goodness and share God’s light with others who may be in darkness or with each other as darkness threatens to suck away faith.

Indeed, living stones center themselves around the cornerstone, Jesus Christ. “See, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious; and whoever believes in him-will not be put to shame” (1 Peter 2:6). All living stones, shining with the Light of God’s love, will never be put to shame.
